Shorelink Minifest 2004 was an afternoon of workshops on various aspects of writing and music, plus Japanese culture, followed by an evening of performances by writers, story tellers, dancers singers and musicians.

The event started on the 10 th July at 11 am and continued throughout the day, ending at 11 pm.

The venues were: The Southwater Community Centre, Concordia hall, Hastings Pier, and The White Rock Theatre.

IT WAS BRILLIANT !

The day started with a welcoming buffet lunch and briefing session on the day's activities at the Southwater Community Centre behind Warrior Square Station. from there delgates were directed to whichever venue was hosting the workshops they were attending. The day's activities culminated in an evening of entertainment and "open Mic' performances at the Sussex Rooms in The White Rock theatre.

The workshops were very well attended, and feedback has been very complimentary on the quality and range offered. The performance evening was packed out with standing room only as a full programme of modern and traditional dance, music, (including local bands, a cappella, and solo performers), poetry and prose readings, a well known local alternative comedian, and other entertainments. There were also stands displaying work and information from local writing and performing groups at the venue.
