Welcome to the Shorelink Celebration Evening 2009 Page

We staged an open mic evening at The Phoenix Arts Centre, Parkstone Road, hastings, all profits of which will go The Bluebell Ridge Cat Re-Homing Centre. Bluebell Ridge Needs our support even more that  usual at this time as the economic climate makes it very difficult for cat owners to afford to keep their pets, and more and more cats are in need of a new home.

Artistes included:

Ivora Rees

(Ivora Rees’ musical talents as a singer, pianist and teacher have led to a distinguished career in many branches of the performing arts, including television and radio. She has sung all over the world, notably as a soloist with both the Vienna Chamber Opera Company and the Royal Opera House. She is closely involved with the Hastings Festival of Music and Drama, and recently joined Battle Abbey Music department. Both her daughters are professional singers. Like most of our guest artistes, Ivora is a great cat lover!)

Mary Horsfield

(Mary has been the soprano soloist in a number of oratorios in London. She has sung roles locally in operetta and performed with various musical groups singing opera and Lieder, as well as songs from the musicals and music hall. Currently Mary sings with the newly formed acapella group, "Sounds Good")

Also

Acromax Jonathan Martin Respond Academy  AND YOURSELVES!

Plus there was a Raffle for cuddly toys (I won a large Lion!), A Cake Stall (Yummy!), and much, much more...
